The Powerball jackpot has reset to $20 million following a recent $143 million win, creating excitement for players ahead of the May 2 drawing.
Powerball drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at approximately 10:59 p.m. ET. A single ticket costs $2, with options to add Power Play or Double Play for an additional $1 each.
The winning numbers for the May 2, 2026, drawing are 25, 37, 42, 52, 65, with a Powerball of 14. The Power Play multiplier for this drawing is 3x.
Players must match all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball to win the jackpot. Matching two numbers will not yield a win unless one of those numbers is the Powerball.
Since its launch in 1992, the Powerball jackpot has been hit nearly 200 times. The last jackpot before this reset was won on April 29, 2026, with winning tickets sold in Kansas and Indiana.
Powerball tickets are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. As players prepare for the upcoming drawing, results from the May 2 event remain pending.
The Powerball Double Play numbers for May 2 are also pending.
