KSI, a judge on Britain’s Got Talent (BGT), pressed the golden buzzer twice during the current series, leading to a reprimand from producers. This unconventional choice has raised eyebrows in the talent show community.
KSI first pressed the golden buzzer for magician Rafferty Coope and then for Japanese strongman Mr. Cherry. According to BGT rules, each judge can only press the golden buzzer once per series. KSI’s actions clearly violated this guideline.
Last year, KSI appeared as a guest judge on BGT. He returned this year as a full-time judge, eager to engage with contestants and bring his unique flair to the show. KSI expressed his desire to be involved and do crazy stuff with the talent.
After pressing the buzzer twice, KSI admitted he caused controversy. He stated, “You can only press it once. I didn’t. I pressed it twice.” He added that he thought he would be different by doing so.
The interview with KSI was conducted by Chris Evans on TFI Unplugged. Evans remarked, “It was so funny, man. They couldn’t believe you did it because it’s just not allowed.” KSI acknowledged that he got it in the ears of the producers but felt they understood his intentions.
